In 2021/22 Future Frontiers ran two coaching programmes with marketing technology business partner Byte/Dept: one in Autumn 2021 and following its great success, another in May 2022.
We asked Samia Choudhri and Francesca Barron in their People & Culture Department why Byte/Dept chose to partner with Future Frontiers, and why it’s been a successful partnership from their perspective.
Why we partnered with Future Frontiers
As a firm we believe that everyone is born equal and deserves the same opportunities. That’s why we wanted to partner with a charity that is promoting social mobility by addressing educational inequality.
We chose to work with Future Frontiers specifically because we loved the structure of the volunteer coaching programme and the level of commitment it asks for. We felt it aligned perfectly with our People Strategy.
An excellent and beneficial experience for all
Our experience of setting up the programme with Future Frontiers was excellent. The support we received couldn’t have been better or more efficient. Nothing was too much of an ask and communication was 100% throughout.
The programme has benefited our people in many ways. It was extremely rewarding for us to know we can help young people with their future career goals or even to show them that, with hard work and faith in themselves they can get the opportunities they deserve.
A highlight for all the volunteers was the final session and end of programme graduation ceremony. It was amazing to reflect back and see how far the students had come since that first coaching session, and see that real impact was made in developing their thinking about future careers and post-16 options.

We would 100% recommend the Future Frontiers programme to other businesses. It helps not only the students but the volunteer coaches too. You would think that the students would be the nervous ones coming into it, but it was us! The experience has really opened our volunteers’ eyes to different perspectives, as well as being extremely rewarding.
