Michael joined the Future Frontiers programme in Year 10 and was paired with his
volunteer coach, Sophie, from Teneo. At first, he wasn’t sure what direction he wanted to take after school, but through their coaching sessions he began to explore new options, build confidence and gain a clearer sense of his strengths and interests.

Michael reflected on the programme and shared some of his thoughts:
"The programme has given me a chance to assess my own skills. Our
Programme Manager, Callum, was really helpful and explained the
different options I had after Year 11.
I cannot thank my coach enough. She was such a good listener and for
the first time I felt that I was really being listened to. I am a more practical
type of person and she saw that in me. She helped me explore different
sectors and jobs, which was really helpful. She even arranged for me to
have a call with a plumbing company who told me what qualifications
and experience I might need for a plumbing job.
Being part of Future Frontiers has helped guide me and given me a
different outlook on my career. I really appreciate it because I know I am
not the best in lessons, but I want to do better and get the best job I can.
Thank you so much!"
