Our Impact

Our Impact
Through supporting young people to develop essential skills, build their knowledge and have meaningful encounters in the world of work, we are helping them to broaden their horizons, progress further and drive social mobility.
Young people who have four or more professional employer encounters while at school are five times more likely to transition to employment, education or training, and earn on average 16% more than their peers who did not have such opportunities.’
Since 2013, we have supported more than 12,000 young people.
Our Impact Last Year
In the 2024/2025 academic year, we supported 2,407 young people, from 85 schools across 28 London boroughs:
960
Year 10 Pupils
1241
Year 11 Pupils
206
Year 12 Students

All pupils we worked with were identified by their teachers as facing barriers to achieving their career potential, including 85% of Year 10 and 11 pupils who were eligible for pupil premium (funding granted to schools to improve disadvantaged pupils’ education outcomes and includes children eligible for free school meals).

Case Study: Janetta and Naomi
Janetta joined the Future Frontiers programme in Year 10 with support from her volunteer coach, Naomi, from SoundCloud. At first she felt overwhelmed and unsure about her future, but through coaching she discovered new career pathways, connected with inspiring role models, and began to feel more confident about her next steps.
Janetta said, "When I look back, I had no clue what I was doing. I didn’t know what I was actually going to do, and I felt confused because when you search online there are so many different options.
A highlight for me was speaking to my Sector Role Model, who was a biomedical engineer working on prosthetics. I found that really interesting because I learned new things. For example, I didn’t know that a person who has lost their legs can still feel sensations, which is really cool.
Now I feel like I’ve got a pathway and I feel more stable than I was before. I want to take A levels in sciences and business and I’d like to go into the medical field.
I would recommend this programme because if you’re like me and don’t know what to do, it’s really helpful to discover what it is you want to do and find a pathway. It’s also interesting to interact with people. I really appreciated that everyone was so smiley and happy and willing to help."
Naomi, Janetta's coach said, "Coaching on the programme has been a really rewarding experience. I had never done anything like this before, and I have learned a lot myself along the way. I really enjoyed taking part and I would definitely recommend it to colleagues. The programme is well structured, very supportive and a fantastic opportunity to make a difference."
