Philanthropy
Philanthropic partners play a vital role in helping under-resourced young people across London broaden their horizons and take positive steps towards their futures.
Through thoughtful investment from charitable trusts, foundations and generous individuals, we equip young people from low-income households with the knowledge, skills, confidence and connections they need to fulfil their potential through personalised careers coaching and meaningful encounters with professionals.

Case Study: Janetta and Naomi
Janetta joined the Future Frontiers programme in Year 10 with support from her volunteer coach, Naomi, from SoundCloud. At first she felt overwhelmed and unsure about her future, but through coaching she discovered new career pathways, connected with inspiring role models, and began to feel more confident about her next steps.
Janetta said, "When I look back, I had no clue what I was doing. I didn’t know what I was actually going to do, and I felt confused because when you search online there are so many different options.
A highlight for me was speaking to my Sector Role Model, who was a biomedical engineer working on prosthetics. I found that really interesting because I learned new things. For example, I didn’t know that a person who has lost their legs can still feel sensations, which is really cool.
Now I feel like I’ve got a pathway and I feel more stable than I was before. I want to take A levels in sciences and business and I’d like to go into the medical field.
I would recommend this programme because if you’re like me and don’t know what to do, it’s really helpful to discover what it is you want to do and find a pathway. It’s also interesting to interact with people. I really appreciated that everyone was so smiley and happy and willing to help."
Naomi, Janetta's coach said, "Coaching on the programme has been a really rewarding experience. I had never done anything like this before, and I have learned a lot myself along the way. I really enjoyed taking part and I would definitely recommend it to colleagues. The programme is well structured, very supportive and a fantastic opportunity to make a difference."
"Thank you so much for the past 4 weeks, they have been really helpful for me. Before this, I was really confused and scared for what might happen in the future but you really helped me clearly make up my mind. You made the experience really fun for me and I am so grateful for you and this experience. Also, because of your encouragement, I actually went into to school for the full week after almost 3 months. Thank you.”
