As we come towards the end of our Year 11 delivery window, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the real impact this programme has on the young people we work with.

One of those young people is Mya, a student who recently completed our Year 11 workshop. Before taking part in Future Frontiers, Mya felt uncertain about her next steps:

"I was dreading having to go into sixth form, but now that I know there are other options I feel a lot better"

During the workshop Mya spent time looking at different ways she could go into drama and become an actress, she learnt that she doesn’t necessarily have to leave school but could instead do a Drama BTEC.

"I knew I wanted to be an actress going into it but it was helpful to know how I can actually get there"

With personalised guidance and time to explore her interests deeply, the future stopped feeling distant or confusing.

"It seems like an actual reachable goal now that I know what I need to do - before it felt really far removed"

It’s stories like Mya’s that show how clarity and confidence can grow when students are given the right support - a result that makes all of our work at Future Frontiers meaningful.
