London Loop Challenge

The London Loop Challenge
Walk 240km. Support 2,400+ young people. Help level the playing field.
In London, too many young people from low-income households face barriers to opportunity. Not because of a lack of talent or ambition, but because they don’t have access to the guidance, networks and experiences that help them make confident decisions about their futures.
The London Loop Challenge is your chance to change that.
By taking on all or part of the 240km London Loop walk, you’ll be helping Future Frontiers support over 2,400 young people in 2026 with the knowledge, confidence and connections they need to take positive steps towards their future learning and careers.
Why This Challenge Matters
Household income remains one of the strongest predictors of a young person’s future opportunities. Young people from low-income backgrounds are significantly less likely to:
Receive personalised careers guidance
Meet role models working in jobs they aspire to
Feel confident about their post-16 options

Last academic year, we worked with 85 schools across 28 London boroughs, directly supporting 2,407 young people who face barriers to achieving their career potential.
94%
of Year 10 pupils discovered a career that inspires and motivates them
85%
of Year 10 pupils felt clearer about how to achieve their ambitions
80%
of Year 11 pupils agreed they can follow their plan to achieve their career goals
Your steps on the London Loop help make outcomes like these possible.
What is the London Loop Challenge?
The London Loop is a 240km circular walking route around Greater London, split into 24 sections.
The challenge is designed to be flexible and inclusive:
Walk the full 240km, or...
Complete one section, or any distance that works for you
Walk solo, with friends, or as part of a team

To reflect the 24 sections of the route and our ambition to support 2,400 young people, we suggest a fundraising target of £100 per section, but you can set a goal that feels right for you.
Every kilometre walked and every pound raised helps equip young people with the confidence, skills and connections to broaden their horizons and prepare for fulfilling futures.

Teams might choose to:

-
Set a collective fundraising target
-
Encourage friendly competition or match funding
However you take part, every kilometre walked and every pound raised helps Future Frontiers support young people from low-income households to build confidence, careers knowledge and positive pathways for their future.
