“Our experience having started working with Future Frontiers a few years ago has been fantastic, which is why we’ve come back to repeat the programme on numerous occasions.”

Why did you first choose to partner with Future Frontiers?

We chose to partner with Future Frontiers a few years ago when we first came across the organisation. I really liked what they stand for, I like how they are really focused on social mobility and giving kids from underprivileged and challenged backgrounds the opportunity to engage with business people.

What has your experience been like so far?

Our experience having started working with Future Frontiers a few years ago has been fantastic, which is why we've come back to repeat the programme on numerous occasions.

It's a lot of fun, it gives a lot of energy to the agency when you have a bunch of 15-year-old school kids coming into the building. Equally it's a really great training opportunity for our people. I think particularly when you're relatively new to managing other people, new to leadership, new to coaching positions within an organisation, you get to that stage in your career - it's just fantastic to actually have the opportunity to test those skills, trial those skills and really hone those skills working with kids who are really benefiting from the mentoring that they're getting.

You’ve experienced being a volunteer coach on the programme - how did you find it?

On a personal level I absolutely loved my time mentoring through the Future Frontiers programme. I had two mentees and they were fantastic - really enjoyed getting to know them both, getting to understand their very different personalities. I found it challenging, I found it really rewarding, it taught me a lot about pace and trying to get that balance right between being a mentor but not rushing through the content. I thought the programme was really well designed and I just absolutely loved everything about it.

Future Frontiers is the number one destination for businesses looking to have a positive social impact whilst engaging and developing their teams. Get in touch with the team today to start making a difference to your staff and the communities you work in.
